Passenger Wheel End Engineering team is responsible for global development of wheel-end solutions for the Automotive market. Our customer portfolio comprises all major OEMs worldwide on their global platforms, with a large variety of vehicles applications.
In this role you will:Lead engineering activities for product development and customer-specific products for wheel end application for Americas market
Streamline design process and develop automation and digitalization together with the Digital Engineering team
Lead a team of highly skilled product engineers and product developers
Drive innovation in hub bearing units for all applications to boost SKF Automotive technical leadership
Your day to day work
- Manage product development roadmap and portfolio
- Identify technical solutions for customer needs
- Define technical offer strategy with Business development team
- Interact with Customer engineering teams for support requests
- Coach and grow team members, develop their competences and skills
- Drive continuous improvement in design flow; methods and techniques
- Interact with project teams within ETO flow from enquiry to series release

We expect you to have
- Master equivalent University degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanics, Materials, Automotive preferably) Solid bearing technical knowledge (materials, design, testing)
- Leadership abilities (both matrix and managerial) and a passion for people management
- Proven record of fully delivered projects
- Ability to deal with complex technical problems with analytic and data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge and mastery of DFMEA/PFMEA tools and approach
- Willingness to travel for short periods
The following skills will be considered a plus:
- Experience with people management
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) knowledge
- Knowledge of bearing simulation tools is a plus
- Knowledge of 3D modelling platforms (Creo)
- Project management knowledge and skills
