Job Purpose:

Produce Magnetic bearing products by performing operational tasks in accordance to the QMS and EH&S policies/procedures and provided instructions, defined processes and procedures while identifying areas for improvement and assist with the implementation.

 

Key Job Functions

  • Product Manufacturing
  • Assemble electronic/mechanical products according to established procedures and processes and ensure workmanship, quality and established standards are met and ERP/MRP system data has been completed.
  • Perform set tests on established products following specific test instructions and completing and ensuring all documentation is accurately filled out.
  • Basic Testing of assemblies & cables (Continuity, inductance, resistance, etc.) to Test Instructions.
  • Participate as a member of the manufacturing team that is responsible for identifying improvements, opportunities that support lean manufacturing principles and drive costs down while not effecting quality.
  • Perform inspection of parts and assemblies as indicated in the procedures.
  • Populate, solder and modify printed circuit boards to IPC standards
  • Comply with ESD, 5S, EH&S and Ergonomic principles and procedures.
  • Performing other duties within skill level may be required

 

Requirements:

  • Skills – Good soldering skills, Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, time management, good organizational, detail oriented, self-motivated, work well independently, good people skills, decision making, quality driven
  • Education – High School Diploma Experience – 3-5 yrs manufacturing or related work experience
  • Knowledge (technical/practical/managerial)-
  • Good computer skills (Office tools excel, word, MSOutlook etc)
  • Whimis, 5s, Lean manufacturing, Single point lesson, Kaizan, poka yoke etc
  • Soldering to IPC standards (Cables, Printed Circuit Boards etc)
  • Reading 2D drawings
  • Working knowledge of electrical/mechanical inspection and assembly/test devices such as calipers, micrometers, DVM’s, LCR meters etc
