Overview:

The Lubrication Management division of SKF consists of a global team. Develops and manufactures lubrication solutions for use in industrial applications and automotive repair facilities. Marketing brands such as Lincoln Industrial, Alemite, Orsco, Mityvac, and Guardian.

 

Job Function:

Diversified work performing all duties and functions necessary to ensure product quality meets customer expectations. Develops and enhances customer relations through the planning and direction of activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze problems to qualify issues both in a team and/or self-supporting environment. Develop and implement corrective actions for problems.
  • Review and implement inspection methods to ensure product quality
  • Direct quality improvement efforts using quality tools, i.e. 8D, 5 why, control charts, MSA, capability analysis, SIPOC, Fishbone, etc.
  • Work with customers and suppliers to resolve and prevent nonconformances
  • Review engineering changes, evaluate quality impact, react to satisfy needs.
  • May be assigned supervisory duties directing hourly union inspectors in their daily job functions.
  • Utilizes computer/tablet to proficiently operate in a Microsoft Windows environment 
  • Perform internal ISO 9001:2015 quality system audits
  • Participate on product development teams, APQP+ process
  • Understand complex technical drawings and specifications to translate these into quality control plans and operating standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree and/or 10 yrs. Quality Control experience
  • Quality or engineering experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for customer, supplier, or internal meetings
  • Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification, desired
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Machining Processes and CMM Programming

  • Ability to communicate well and work effectively with employees at all levels of the company
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, quality assurance, and technology 
  • Ability to use sound, prudent and independent judgement
  • Experience in tight tolerance manufacturing and subsequent strong understanding of prints and GD&T
  • Experience on interacting in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence
  • Skilled at various types (admin, process, etc.…) of problem solving
