Salary Range: $ 93,000.00 to $ 105,000.00

Ensure products meet quality requirements through development of inspection processes, data analysis and resolution of quality issues while driving continuous improvement.

 

  • Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T standards for incorporation into inspection methods.
  • Implement and maintain hard gauging.
  • Monitor, control and calibration of inspection and measurement equipment
  • Perform MSA to ensure inspection capabilities
  • Identify and implement gauging improvements
  • Develop and maintain inspection programs utilizing CMM, form and contour/ surface finish inspection equipment.
  • Develop and administer training for inspection and measurement techniques.
  • Facilitate automatic data collection and analysis (SPC and capability).
  • Evaluation and disposition of nonconforming material including rework and scrap.
  • Evaluation and disposition of customer returns.
  • Lead and support root cause corrective actions utilizing tools such as A3 and 8D.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Internal and external audit support.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing experience with increasing responsibilities, preferably in Aerospace.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with GD&T experience.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Team oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

 

Desired

  • CMM programming (ie., Zeiss Calypso, PC-DMIS).
  • Experience with form and contour inspection equipment (ie., Mahr, Taylor Hobson).
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Calibration experience.
