Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transport Operations Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation activities across North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and collaborating with various teams to enhance transportation efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods across North America.
  • Work closely with the Factories, warehousing, and supply chain teams to coordinate transportation schedules and resolve any issues.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in good condition.
  • Analyze and optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure all transportation-related documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with transportation vendors and freight forwarders to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or delays promptly.

 

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation coordination or logistics management.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.
  • Prior experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
