Summary:

The Vibration Analyst is responsible for collecting, monitoring, and analyzing customer machinery data and evaluating rotating equipment health at one or more strategic accounts for SKF North America.

The focus is to provide customers with detailed asset health reports including recommendations for maintenance activities and improved reliability.

In this role, you will report to the Field Services Manager, as part of SKF NAM’s Service Sales and Delivery Team. This team has employees located across NAM to serve customers either permanently on-site or traveling to different accounts within a region.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze vibration data to identify faults, determine severity, and write detailed reports on your findings.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery problems.
  • Communicate and deliver reports to customers about your findings and recommendations.
  • Engage in downtime and maintenance planning meetings.
  • Provide profitable technical and proactive reliability maintenance services to customers to achieve or exceed the agreed KPIs.
  • Support and work with SKF Application Engineers to determine root cause of any failures and work toward improvements and corrective actions, documenting the cost savings delivered.
  • Work with other SKF Product Specialists, Technicians, and Sales staff in identifying opportunities and securing contracts through the provision of SKF technology and solutions.

 

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience, including certification of ISO Category II or equivalent, with machinery vibration analysis.
  • Experience working with other predictive maintenance technologies and practices.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% to service customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Bilingual preferred with proficiency in French and English.

 

Desired Skills & Experience :
  • Be a self-starter and plan your time efficiently to complete work required.
  • Proven ability to build professional relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills; prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers and colleagues.
  • Certification of ISO Category II or greater.
  • Perform multi-channel data analysis.
  • Experience and background in mining, steel & metals, paper, refinery, chemical, power, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS and planning & scheduling.
  • Experience working with other predictive maintenance technologies and practices including electrical and mechanical infrared inspections, in-place dynamic balancing, airborne ultrasound inspections, machinery alignment, online and offline motor current analysis, ODS, or motion amplification a plus
