Summary:
The Service Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and growth of SKF Reliability Services and Condition Monitoring products. His mission is to position SKF as an industry leading provider of service and technology solutions in the assigned sales region or territory.
This role involves identifying leads, developing qualified prospects into solid business opportunities, building and maintaining solid relationships with end users and distributors, and achieving the defined sales targets in the assigned region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and reliability, condition monitoring technologies, and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Identify opportunities that can be supported by SKF’s key platforms
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Present and demonstrate condition monitoring products and services to prospective clients.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Negotiate and close sales deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in condition monitoring or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of condition monitoring technologies and their applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time in US and Canada
- If applying for a position in Canada, Fluency in French a plus
- Must live close to a major airport
